Ever since we started Iggy Box, it has always been a dream of ours to create our very own candle and we are so excited to share with you our beautiful ‘PAUSE.’ candle, housed in an exclusive handmade ceramic vessel and scented in luxurious Black Pomegranate.

To celebrate our launch, we caught up with Gem and Doug (our co-founders) to find out all about ‘PAUSE.’…
What is the meaning behind the name?
Candles are more than just ‘candles’ to us. They signify taking a moment to look after and focus on ourselves. From the very start, we knew that we really wanted to incorporate this into our first candle. We wanted it to be a reminder to ‘PAUSE.’ and embrace precious moments of calm.
How do you describe the scent?
Luxurious, warming, cosy and calming… everything we love about a scent. It has top notes of juicy pomegranate and fresh rose and a musky base of amber, vanilla and leather. It really is made for creating the perfect moment to pause and create calm in your home.
Tell us more about the vessel…
Our exclusive ceramic vessel has been handmade by the wonderful Jon, from Earth To Ocean Ceramics. Jon is based in North Devon, close to both spectacular coastline and rolling moorland. He draws the inspiration for his pottery from the beauty of the local landscape and that particularly influences his choice of natural colours – rich earthy tones. It was really important to us that we housed our first candle in a handmade eco vessel and we could not be happier with our ‘PAUSE.’ vessel has turned out. We hope you agree…!
Why launch ‘PAUSE.’ now?
From the day we started designing ‘PAUSE.’, we knew we wanted the candle to support and promote Mental Health Awareness. This Sunday is Mental Health Awareness Day, so this week felt like the perfect week to launch. To show our support all profits from sales of our ‘PAUSE.’ candle between now and Sunday night will be donated to the Mental Health Charity, Mind UK.
