We introduce to you ‘Atelier’.
Emmanuelle channels a lifetime passion for home decor into her beautiful collection, which we fell in love with during many smell-testing sessions together! LET’S LEARN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ATELIER…
Earlier this month, we sat down with Emmanuelle from Atelier to talk about all things candles…
How long has your brand been going and is it your full-time job?
Atelier was created in February this year. It is not my full-time job at the moment. I am a voiceover artist and I mainly do a lot of dubbing and commercials for French TV.
What inspired you to start making candles and your brand?
I’ve always had a passion for fashion, design and anything to do with home decor. I used to buy a lot of beautiful (expensive!) candles for my house, and was very often disappointed by their poor quality and very little scent throw… After some research, I realised this was due to combinations of poor quality wax and oil… So I decided to learn how to create my own, combining the best quality wax (100% natural soy) and carefully selected fragrance oils based on their unique scent, properties (vegan, sustainable and non-toxic) and performance whilst burning. Atelier (art studio in French) was born!
What is your passion behind the brand?
I absolutely love the whole process of candle making from choosing the scents, hand-crafting the products and designing the labels and packaging! I want to create high-quality, luxury products that will look beautiful in every home, at an affordable price.
What do you love about ‘Winter Fir’?
My favourite time of the festive period is to decorate the Christmas tree! I wanted to create a candle that is reminiscent of that special moment, with a subtle scent of pine, eucalyptus and cedarwood. A soft candle to put you in the mood to deck the halls!
What has been your biggest achievement so far?
I am very proud that Atelier has taken off the way it did during a very difficult time for everybody! I’m very grateful for my lovely customers! I am also super proud that Iggy Box has chosen Winter Fir to be their November candle!
Do you have any specific goals for Atelier?
I would like to expand and bring out new products and new vessels for my candles in the New Year.
