Styling Your Home For Halloween

Styling your home for Halloween is one of the best times of the year to get creative with your interiors! With the weather cooling down and festivities drawing closer, we tend to spend more and more time in our homes.

With Halloween just around the corner, it is the perfect excuse to start thinking about decorating for the cosy season! Like any change to the home, it can be hard to know where to start, but we are here to help you every step of the way…

Candlelight

Candles, candles and more candles! As the days become shorter and the nights come around quicker, turn your lights off and opt for candlelight instead. Candles are the perfect piece of decor that create a truly spooky yet romantic atmosphere that we are looking for. We recommend placing 3-5 in every room for the optimum cosy setting. If you own tea lights too, they are perfect for placing inside of your pumpkins for a yellow glow.

Muted tones

If you aren’t into the ‘over the top’ traditional decorations, a perfect way to transform your home from Summer to Winter would be to inject a few seasonal colours and muted tones into your decor. Both Halloween and Autumn Winter are the ideal time of the year for colours such as burnt oranges, terracotta, browns and subtle reds. A few throws, cushions or even tableware could instantly transform your space.

Decorations

To keep things classy, decorate your interior with some spooky pieces. Of course, our all-time personal favourite decorations are pumpkins, fake cobwebs, stylish skill pieces and vampire teeth. We’re a huge fan of white, gold or silver decor pieces as opposed to the brighter coloured products. These are timeless and you can even keep these out a little longer for the ultimate Autumn feeling!

So, once you have added a few candles, muted tones and decorations, your Halloween decor is complete! Is there anything else that is an absolute must to transform your home into a spooky scene?! Tag us in your decorated interiors using the hashtag #styleyourscent!
