The final instalment of 2021 has arrived… We have partnered with Penny and Lisa, two Cheshire-based Mums, who have built their brand ‘Perfect Chaos’ around a belief that everyone deserves a little luxury.
These hand blended fusions of natural essential oils will calm, relax and indulge the senses, at a time when we all need a recharge most. Sustainability is at the core with all their ingredients but also through supporting great causes like ‘The Tree Sisters Charity’. Nothing but indulgence for our December box to fill you with festive joy. Carols, mince pies and hopefully a little snow awaits… It really is the most wonderful time of the year!

‘Sweet Orange, Cinnamon and Cardamom’ by Perfect Chaos.
With Christmas countdown in full swing, cosy up for those winter nights with your beautifully scented soy wax candle housed in it’s snow white vessel, finished with a gold foil label.
The scent offers sweet orange notes combined with a hint of spice from freshly crushed cardamom and topped with a dusting of warming cinnamon. A true embodiment of Christmas aroma.

This month, we have partnered with Willie’s Cacao Chocolate to bring you their Orange Chocolate Bar. Deliciously dark chocolate infused with organic orange essence. Created from Cuban beans that offer notes of honey to this perfectly balanced fruit and chocolate medley.
Willie’s journey has progressed from owning a farm in Venezuela to owning his very own (and Britain’s first) ‘bean to bar’ chocolate factory.
Sourcing beans bought directly from the farmers themselves, Willie uses only 100% natural ingredients and a longer manufacturing process to preserve maximum flavour… a little indulgence for this December!
It’s time to meet the makers! We sat down with Penny and Lisa from Perfect Chaos to talk about their incredible collection…
How long has your brand been going/ is it full time or do you do other things?
Just over 3 years. We started in March 2018. Currently, Penny works in insurance and I work as a PE teacher.
Where in the UK are you based and what space do you use for your ‘workshop’?
We are based in Cheshire and make the candles across both homes as well as our office space which is kitted out as a studio.
What inspired you to start making candles? Do you have a passion that has been embedded in your brand?
We started making candles as we have always loved natural candles and wanted to create a brand that is luxurious but also accessible to everyone.
What do you love about our featured scent?
This scent reminds us that the colder, darker nights are approaching and candle season is here. The aromatherapy blend of natural essential oils will calm and relax you and indulge the senses.
There are so many scents you can choose to make…How do you go about choosing for your collection?
We want to provide scents that boost all moods and so we start with an essential oil that we want to work with and base the scent blend around that. We then ask our friends and family to sample the blend and feedback their likes and dislikes.
What has been your proudest moment since starting out?
Being stocked in all 13 Planet organic stores, collaborating with Mirabeau wines and being featured in Vogue, Red and Good housekeeping.
Do you have a fun fact or anecdote about your brand?
Fun fact – we decided to start a business together on a Sunday evening and the following week, Perfect Chaos was registered and the candles were in development. One month later, we were up and selling. We believe in striving to achieve your goals and if you put your mind, heart and soul into it, anything can be attained.
Do you have any specific ambitions or goals for Perfect Chaos?
We would love Perfect Chaos to become a well known brand that is people’s go to home fragrance brand.
Do you have any charitable or environmental partnerships we should know about to share?
We work with Tree Sisters.
Is there anything that you believe makes your brand different or stand out?
We use completely natural products (not just natural wax) as well as refillable metal containers and reusable coffee cups.
Are there any plans for new products or news over the next few months?
We have some exciting news for the new year that is currently under wraps but is definitely a step towards our goal. We always have products in development as we love blending new scents and looking for new containers.
